About the Student
Ekaterina Chistyakova is beginning her senior year at the University of South Dakota, where she is majoring in Mass Communication with an emphasis in broadcast journalism, and minoring in International Studies. She is originally from Kiev, Ukraine. She has been studying in the United States since 1994, when she completed her senior year of high school in Iowa as a foreign exchange student. Ekaterina has worked in college radio and television, and she is currently working for South Dakota Public Radio. Ekaterina prepared her article, "In Five, Four, Three, Two, One--Live Mic! (What Goes on Behind the Microphone)," during her sophomore year, for
Dr.
Nancy Zuercher's Advanced Composition course. The project was originally published in
coyotE.
