New: e-mail Pen Pals!

This companion website now gives teachers and students a link to ePALS, a classroom-to-classroom e-mail exchange service. To use ePALS, a teacher must first register the class; this includes creating a short "profile" of the class (including the size of the class, the grade level, subjects studied, and class projects). Once the class is registered, the teacher will receive individual e-mail accounts for the students in the class.

Note: Teachers should be sure to include the title and level of the textbook being used in the class. This makes it easier for teachers using the same textbook to find each other when searching the ePALS database for an e-mail partner.

Teachers have the option of monitoring their student's e-mail; teachers may want to do this so they can grade their students' e-mail as written work.
