Kairos: A Journal for Teachers of Writing in Webbed Environments
An innovative electronic journal on composition issues, in true hypertext form. Issues of Kairos have dealt with online pedagogy, plagiarism, technology and gender issues, and technology and tenure. Features in Kairos are available with Frames or without.
This is the companion Web site to the printed journal. The C&C Archives contain full texts of articles from back issues of the journal, in HTML form.
Computer Mediated Communication
CMC is a member of the first generation of completely online journals. Though, unfortunately, it recently stopped being published, its archives are still available.
The online version of the print magazine, with articles on best practices in designing distance learning.
Scout Report
listserv@cs.wisc.eduThe Scout Report is a weekly digest, available on the Web or delivered by e-mail, with URLs and descriptions of notable sites on the Web. Sites included in the report often address hot topics in current events, and most are useful for general interest researchers.
NewsScan Daily
NewsScan@NewsScan.comNewsScan is a daily digest of technology news from newspapers, magazines, and online periodicals. The advantage of NewsScan over its competitors is that NewsScan includes URLs to articles where possible, and it also includes an occasional "Honorary Subscriber" and great ideas section about general interest books worth reading (with links to bookstore sponsors, of course).
INFOBITS:CIT Infobits
listserv@unc.eduThis is a monthly digest of links to instructional technology resources, from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill's Academic and Technology Networks' Center for Instructional Technology. This digest is really one of the best of its kind. Highly recommended.
