Pocahontas Pleading For John Smith's Life

John Smith was an accomplished traveler and soldier by the time he took control of Jamestown in 1608. His stories of exploits include several rescues by beautiful women, but the incident in which Chief Powhatan's daughter, Pocahontas, pleaded for his life has been substantiated.
