- Divide the class into pairs, giving each pair a fashion magazine.
Allow the students to look through the magazine uninterrupted for ten
to fifteen minutes. Then ask them each to select the picture(s) in
their magazine with the most attractive clothing.
- Ask one member from each pair to go around the class slowly as if he
or she were a model in a fashion show, displaying his or her favorite
picture(s) to each member of the class. As the student is walking
around the classroom, describe the clothes over and over again,
jotting down new words on the chalkboard.
- Then ask the person in each pair who did not display the picture to
say which outfit he or she likes best. Elicit as much information as
possible about the picture of that outfit. After the student has
finished his or her description, show the class the picture again.
